What you should know about this amazing breed?

English bulldogs can be the most amazing pets you can have my opinion, but they are a lot of work. Be prepared to take care of a stubborn toddler. This characteristic doesn't exactly change with age. They want what they want and once it's in their head to do something they will find a way to do it. This quality can be very aggravating but cute and funny at times.

They are high maintenance. They need lots of baths and sometimes they even need a butt wiping after they do their business. So keep some sensitive baby wipes handy. Like a lot of other animals and even humans the can have very sensitive skin. They love water, especially drinking it. They have lots of wrinkles which means u have to keep them dry and clean or they will smell yeasty. They slobber alot and chew everything. They rarely grow out of it. If you keep a chew toy they tend to focus on that till is practically gone. Can't tell you how many times I have been to the. Eat over what my dogs have ingested.

You will think they are deaf for the first 4/5 months. Mostly because they think they are the boss and we are to serve them. They despise instructions at first. Kinda like a toddler testing you to see how far they can go and what can they get a way with, but way more stubborn. Every English we have had we thought was deaf till we noticed that they were just that stubborn. They get into anything and every thing nothing is safe.

They are totally worth the work. They love like no other animal. They love like toddlers do. Whole heartedly and without discrimination.
